Something a little different for today - a photo portrait of Margaret Bourke White and Cat, taken in 1974 in Darien, Connecticut, by none other than Ansel Adams. It has somehow caught my fancy. Perhaps it will yours as well?
I've linked to the Holmes photography gallery before. Tonight, in need of comfort, I found myself wandering through its pages once again. Here's just one photo that I find intriguing and lovely and somehow restorative: West Maui.

I'm not sure these are exactly beautiful (although perhaps they are), but there's something about these photos of Jacqueline Kennedy at the Vatican that has drawn me back again and again over the years.
