August Sander

For some time I've felt a special affection for the pre-World War II photographs of German photographer August Sander.  The Getty Museum site presents 40 of them. 

My favorite is unquestionably --

Ulster Co. landscapes

Kiwikuhlow hasn't posted many photos at Flickr, but the 16 that are there now are pretty terrific. All were taken in Ulster County, NY, in the mid-Hudson River Valley. (Note that you can see a larger version of each photo by clicking on the magnifying-glass icon.)
