This stanza by Emily Dickinson was quoted in an essay I read a few days ago --
Some keep the Sabbath going to church;
I keep it staying at home,
With a bobolink for a chorister,
And an orchard for a dome.
The complete poem is available at the marvelous Bartleby site.
Thanks! I have loved that poem more than ever since I heard it read by a singer, Noirin Ni Riain, on a tape called River of Stars: The Soul Journey of Noirin Ni Riain. The back of the tape says, "... Ni Riain recounts her own quest for the divine source, and illuminates the saints and spirits who have shaped her life, her work, and her love for the divine." Emily Dickinson is a favorite of mine.

Muira, I didn't know about Noirin, but I'm glad you told us about her. This site (http://store.soundstrue.com/riainn.html) seems to have a good selection of her work. Thank you for writing, a Mhuira. Is mise, Ciara

Hi, I am searching for a long long time for "River of Stars", a tape from Nóirín Ní Riain. I have all the vinyls and CD's but this one is very difficult to find.
Any idea how to get it?
Thanks, Hans Jansen
