I'm struggling today with a lot of hurt. So I'm looking around the Web for something that might comfort me. This comes to mind and I go look for it:
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)Continuing to try to find something that would make the aching stop, I find this:
For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
Thank you for those beautiful quotes.
Sending love your way. When I saw your post today, I thought of this for you:

There is a wonderful book called The Music of Silence: A Sacred Journey Through the Hours of the Day. It was written by David Steindl-Rast and Sharon Lebell. That was where I heard about the site with the bells and encouragement for each each sacred hour.

AM, thank you so much for your kind thoughts and warmth. It is the latter, really, that I have needed all day. In my effort to comfort myself, I put together a little Web page (a so-called 'village') with some links -- one of which was to gratefulness.org! However, I was not at all aware of the Angels page and so it is a real gift from you to me that you have told me about it. I've always loved the idea of the canonical Hours and several times tried to live them, but without real success. Perhaps Br. David's and Sharon's book will help. Thank you again for your kindness. I wish you many excellent hours. :-))

P.S. Fwiw, the page I started putting together is here -- http://www.idealvillages.com/view/?village=65. (Btw, the software available at that site is kind of cool. And free. Please check it out, if you have a moment.)

I looked around your village and bookmarked it so that I can continue to visit there. Thank you for letting me know about it, Keara!
